the Gordon Ramsay Versus Tracy Grimshaw thing

There is quite a bit of scuttlebutt about over Gordon Ramsay being out of order - but it's so formulaic (almost like a recipe):

Ingredients:
Gordon Ramsay
(blank) person or product

Method:
1) Gordon Ramsey flys in to a country / opens a new restaurant / needs publicity for a new venture
2) Horribly insults someone
3) Public backlash ensues
4) Publicity gained=$ in Gordons' pockets

then...Repeat these steps over and over for a healthy bank balance

This time, a women was degraded, her sexuality questioned and her physical appearance made fun of - was it worth it? even to a man clearly not short of a pound or two?

Just sad...b/c he is obviously a great chef & now entertainer - such a shame so much of it ends up being at anothers' expense.

I watched Gordon Ramsay once a long while back and was unimpressed by how he spoke arrogantly to people like they were mud on his shoes. What worries me is why media has given so much air time to an ill mannered person. Unfortunately that seems to mean that the ratings are in viewers watching someone humiliate someone else. I see this in reality shows that put people under pressure while people publicly judged. I’m glad to see viewers turn on bad taste TV and hope it turns viewers away from shows where individuals are publicly humiliated. His comments won't entice me to watch him or spend any money to encourage him.
